	Office of Stewardship Development Meet Our Directors David J. Hougan, M.B.A., CFRE, a native of Rockford, Illinois is the Diocesan Director of the Stewardship Development Office for the Diocese of Rockford. He has held this position since 1989. The Office is responsible for spreading the teachings and practices of stewardship as a way of life to the people of the Diocese. Mr. Hougan directs the Diocesan Stewardship Appeal, the Combined Collections for the Universal Church, and the overall capital development efforts of the entities of the Diocese. He also supervises the Planned Giving and Parish Stewardship programs. Mr. Hougan is the Secretary of the Catholic Foundation for the People of the Diocese of Rockford and serves on numerous diocesan and parish committees. He is currently President of the Rockford Chapter of the Association for Fundraising Professionals (AFP). From 1979 to 1989, he was the Diocesan Director of Justice and Peace and Parish Social Ministries of Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Rockford. Mr. Hougan received his BA degree from Rockford College. MS degree in Community Mental Health and MBA degree from Northern Illinois University. He is married and the father of two young men.
Bob Pfundstein, is the Director of Parish Stewardship for the Diocese of Rockford. Prior to this position, he spent 9 years in Parish Ministry. During the first five years as a parish Director of Evangelization and the four remaining years as a parish Director of Administrative Services (Business Manager). Bob was involved and supportive of the diocesan stewardship efforts. This varied ministry experience has provided Bob with new insights in developing parish stewardship materials and leadership training opportunities. Greg Urban, is the Diocesan Director of Planned Giving and the Executive Director of the Catholic Foundation for the People of the Diocese of Rockford since 2007. He conducts wills and estate planning seminars for parishes and schools, promotes the gift annuity program and works with individual donors interested in making planned and endowed gifts. Greg served as the President and CEO of Omnibyte Corporation for numerous years. Most recently he served as the Executive Director of the National Association of Diocesan Diaconate Directors (NADD). He serves as a Deacon in this Diocese at Blessed Sacrament Parish in North Aurora. A native Illinoisan, he is married with one daughter.
